F7-15 is a precision thrust bearing with flat raceway. It consists of 3 separable parts, they are housing washer, shaft washer and cage / retainer with steel balls. The washers are made of 52100 chrome steel, and the cage is made of brass or stainless steel. There are 8 pieces of steel balls in the cage, and the ball size is 2.5 mm in diameter. The net weight of F7-15 bearing is 4.4 grams.
This bearing has an inner bore diameter of 7 mm and an outer diameter of 15 mm, a height of 5 mm. The outer diameter of shaft washer is a little smaller than the one of housing washer, which is 14.8 mm. The tolerance for bore and outer diameter is -0.008 to 0 mm, and for bearing height it is -0.12 to 0 mm.
F7-15 precision thrust bearing is designed to allow motion between parts while maintaining a large axial load. It can endure a dynamic thrust load of 2,200 Newton and a static thrust load of 2,000 Newton. Light oil is often used as lubricant on this bearing to reduce friction, the max speed can reach up to 3,600 rpm. It is suitable to work in a temperature range from -30℃ to 110℃.
